My
Faith Meets My World: Jesus is Lord |

Jesus
Came to Save
Along
with all the other Christians in the world, I believe
that Jesus Christ is Lord. "For God so loved
the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that
whoever believes in Him should not perish but have
everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into
the world to condemn the world, but that the world
through Him might be saved." John 3:16-17.
Jesus came into the world to save us - even me! I'm
awed by His love for me - the same love He has for
you too! "But God demonstrates His own love
toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ
died for us." Romans 5:8. Isn't that awesome
to know? God loved us before we even knew Him! It's
His love that draws us to Him. |

Jesus
is the Bridge
Jesus
is the bridge connecting us back to God. Our sins
have separated us from God, but thankfully, Jesus
made a way for us to be connected to God again. "For
the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus:
that is One died for all, then all died; and He died
for all, that those who live should live no longer
for themselves, but for Him who died for them and
rose again." 2 Corinthians 5:14-15.

Our
Human Need
Why
did Jesus come? He came to save sinners - we all are
sinners! As Paul said, "This is a faithful
saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus
came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am
chief." 1 Timothy 1:15.
- How
many have sinned? "for all have sinned and
fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23.
- What
are the consequences? "For the wages of
sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life
in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23.
- How
did Jesus help us? Surely He has borne our griefs,
and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken,
smitted by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded
for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities;
the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and
by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep
have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to
hhis own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity
of us all. Isaiah 53:4-6.

The
Next Step
So
how can a person take advantage of this great salvation
offered so freely to us? "Believe on the Lord
Jesus Christ, and you will be saved." Acts 16:38.
Sound too simple? It's true! "If you confess
with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your
heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will
be saved." Romans 10:9.
Are
there any other ways to be saved? "Nor is
there salvation in any other, for there is no other
name under heaven given among men by which we must
be saved." Acts 4:12.
Would
you like to accept Jesus as Your Lord and Savior,
too? Tell Him right now, in the quiet of your room
in front of your computer, that you want Him in your
life. I pray that God will bless you and keep you
in His love. |
